EXPO Tempestry

From October 1 to 31, MAR Shopping Algarve hosts the exhibition “Climate Tapestries”, developed by artist and artisan Susana Mendez, in partnership with the Municipality of Loulé.

This exhibition, created with recycled cotton thread, visually translates the evolution of climate change in Loulé between 2015 and 2024, turning temperature data into impactful works of art. More than art, it is an invitation to reflect on the impact of our actions on the planet.

As a complement, on October 25, from 2 pm to 5 pm, the free workshop “Climate Bracelets” will take place, led by the artist herself. This activity, open to children and adults, challenges each participant to recreate on a smaller scale the same creative logic, transforming temperature data into unique textile bracelets.
